knls had the honour of hosting the Parliamentary Committee on Broadcasting and Library on 14th March 2023. The committee, led by the Chairman Hon. Daniel Nanok, MP, Turkana West, visited KNLS to learn about the library’s operations and services. The committee members were warmly received by the library Management team, led by the CEO, Dr. Charles Nzivo, who took them on a comprehensive tour of the library. The members were impressed by the wide range of services offered by KNLS. The committee members commended KNLS Board and Management for their commitment to promoting literacy and education in Kenya, and expressed their appreciation for the library’s efforts in supporting communities across the country. The visit enabled the Committee to gain insights into how to improve library services in Kenya. KNLS hopes to continue to work closely with the committee to promote literacy and education in Kenya and contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
